Frequently asked questions
What can a CO₂ laser cut?
Acrylic (up to about 20 mm with the right power), wood, MDF, plywood, leather, fabric, paper, card, rubber and foam. It engraves glass, stone, anodised aluminium and coated metals. It does not cut metal — for that you need a fiber laser.
Do you have a laser cutter I can test in Mauritius?
Yes — a Thunder Laser Bolt runs live in our Pailles showroom. Bring your materials and files.
What software is used?
Thunder Laser machines work with LightBurn and RDWorks and accept files from Illustrator, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD and Inkscape.
Do you install and service the machines?
Yes. Delivery, installation, ventilation advice, training and maintenance are handled by our technicians in Mauritius.
